FUZZ FOR FUNDS
The Kern County 999 Foundation has again teamed up with the Bakersfield Police Department to bring back our “Fuzz for Funds” contest. We ask folks to vote for the “Best” and “Worst” beards of our department.
Our goal is to have staff participate in forgoing grooming standards for December to raise funds for a local non-profit organization in need. All charitable funds raised will go directly to the Bakersfield Salvation Army.
This fundraising campaign will start Tuesday, December 8, 2020, and will run through Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at midnight.
All donations are 100% tax-deductible and will go directly to the local Salvation Army. Every donation, no matter the size, is appreciated and will help.
Don’t wait! Get your votes in before Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Each vote is only $5 and will go to worthy causes. Vote early and as often as you would like- every little bit goes a long way!

The Bakersfield Police Department has again teamed up with the Kern County 999 Foundation to bring back our “Fuzz for Funds” contest. We are asking folks to vote for the “Best” and “Worst” beards of our department.
Our goal is to have staff participate in forgoing grooming standards for the month of December to help raise funds for two local needs. All funds raised will be shared with the Alliance Against Family Violence, and Kern County Deputy Jesse Harker and family. Deputy Harker was recently diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and is undergoing treatment. He has served our community for the past twelve years, and is the sole provider for his family, as his wife is the caregiver for their two children, son Anson 3.5 years of age with special needs, and daughter Madeleine 2.
This fundraising campaign will start December 1, 2019, and will run through Friday, December 20, 2019, at midnight. All donations are 100% tax-deductible and will go directly to those in need. Every donation, no matter the size, is appreciated and will help.
